I'm very sad to say that mama Sid passed away yesterday (05/20/24). She'd been sick with an unknown illness for a while and her treatments weren't enough to turn things around. Sid wasn't the most sociable cat, but one-on-one she was super lovey. She loved laundry basket rides and the rainbow string and treats and tucking daddy into bed before retreating to the basement to patrol for mice. She was also the first cat to find a ray of sunshine nearly every sunny day.
Her human mother, Bethanne, unexpectedly passed in September 2023, so losing Sid, our 16 year companion, within a year of Bethanne's death really uncorked my emotions and sense of loss.
